Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Learn functionalities of a Marketing department while gaining real world experience in relation to a student’s current university studies.

 

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Work directly with Creative Services Director and PR/Events Coordinator to learn the day to day functions of a Marketing Department in specifically Graphic Design and PR/Events roles
  • Design and implement signage, circulars, brochures, and other marketing materials or events as needed from concept to completion as dictated by mentor
  • Coordinates the preparations of project content to ensure completion on time
  • Arrange and appear in public appearances or events for company to increase product sales, brand and service awareness and to promote goodwill of the company
  • Provide Event Coordination and communication across all various participating business units such as the buying group, marketing, executive management merchandising, store operations and the stores
  • Research individual events by market, to determine greatest opportunities to educate, entertain, and inform community of event and development
  • Complete project assigned at the beginning of the internship
  • Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be 12-18 months from Graduation from an accredited University or College
  • Have a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication, writing and time management skills
  • Be detail orientated and highly organized
  • Experience with Mac Computers, Adobe Indesign and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel overnight, if needed
  • Be able to supply samples of projects, events, and/or marketing designs already completed
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Successfully complete pre-employment drug screening

WORK SCHEDULE: 

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with one hour lunch. Subject to change as travel will be involved. Intern will start on in May/June 2018 and last for twelve weeks, unless otherwise noted due to academic credit or student’s availability.
