Our innovative, goal-oriented Internship Program is designed to prepare you for various aspects of store management. This program consists of paid, intensive hands-on training and focuses on teaching you the skills to be successful in store operations, leadership, and management. This position will begin in May/June 2018.

Responsibilities

Assist the Human Resource Department while gaining experience for future Human Resource related positions. Primarily focusing on the Training and Recruiting disciplines within the department.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Work directly with Recruiting, Training, Benefits and Associate Relations departments:
    • Recruiting: screening applications, sitting in and conducting interviews, assisting in the onboarding of new associates
    • Training: assist in the oversight of design and implementing training assessments and programs, maintain and update training manuals, help conduct new hire orientations for Blain associates 
    • Associate Relations: help conduct new hire orientation, help assess new hire paperwork, help process unemployment claims and employment verifications
    • Benefits: Receive an overview in processes of leave requests and Fitness for Duties, help retain and modify and/or report benefit forms, policies or standard operating procedures
  • Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures

 

Qualifications

  • Be 12-18 months from Graduation from an accredited University or College
  • Have a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Ability to learn internal software systems
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Successfully complete a drug and background check
