Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager of Demand Planning. The position is headquartered in Janesville, WI. This position will be responsible for developing demand planning strategy, processes and organization structure to effectively assess demand and manage inventory from merchandise purchase to in store delivery to effectively reduce costs and improve inventory turn.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for researching, selecting and implementing planning, forecasting and replenishment techniques
  • Facilitate and maximize internal collaboration between multiple departments and positions, including buyers, analysts, merchandisers, distribution, logistics and store personnel.
  • Incorporate tools, technology and processes needed to optimize the investment in inventory
  • Analyze, utilize, direct and redirect information between various departments in order to facilitate inventory productivity and optimization.
  • Optimize existing process and design and build new processes when appropriate.
  • Implement all aspects of vendor collaboration, including all Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) initiatives.
  • Work with other supply chain management personnel to make to process of procurement, development, logistics and distribution as cost effective as possible.
  • Constant evaluation of the supply chain required to increase cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Utilize empirical methods and data to produce measured targets and goals.
  • Responsible for determining the organization structure required to support the function, including resource needs and selecting, developing and retaining talent and developing successors for key leadership positions.
  • Maintains awareness of all relevant company policies (e.g. finance, safety, LP, HR, legal, etc.) and ensure compliance within the function.
  • Support organization initiatives and priorities and complete other projects and work as assigned. Travel may be required

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience at a management level in Supply Chain in a retail environment designing, developing and implementing demand planning processes and organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent field preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into high-level analysis and demand planning
  • Ability to direct/plan the activities of others. Influence people in their opinions, attitudes and judgments.
  • Must be self-motivated, decisive, exhibit good judgement and be an excellent problem solver.
  • Shows initiative and work both collaborative and independently to drive improvements in supply chain performance.
  • Advanced Excel, Business Data Management, spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have experience in multi-project responsibility.
  • Excellent time management skills.
